Description

Y = asech(X) returns the inverse hyperbolic secant of the elements of X. The function accepts both real and complex inputs. All angles are in radians.

Inverse Hyperbolic Secant

For real values x in the domain 0<x≤1, the inverse hyperbolic secant satisfies

sech−1(x)=cosh−1(1x)=log(1x+1x2−1).

For complex numbers z=x+iy as well as real values in the regions − ∞<z≤0 and 1≤z<∞, the call asech(z) returns complex results.
