Variable name, given variable number
name = cdflib.getVarName(cdfId,varNum)
name = cdflib.getVarName(cdfId,varNum)
returns the name of the variable in a Common Data Format (CDF) file.
cdfId
identifies the CDF file. varNum
is
a numeric value that identifies the variable. Variable numbers are
zero-based. name
is a character vector specifying
the name.
Open the example CDF, and then get the name of a variable in the file:
cdfid = cdflib.open('example.cdf'); name = cdflib.getVarName(cdfid,1) name = Longitude % Clean up cdflib.close(cdfid) clear cdfid
