Startup with Java Access Bridge Software

On Windows® platforms, MATLAB® might crash during startup with screen readers using the Java Access Bridge software. Choose one of these workarounds:

  • Disable Java Access Bridge before starting MATLAB, then reenable it after startup. The command to disable Java Access Bridge is:

    jabswitch /disable
  • Remove the following file from the MATLAB installation directory. MATLAB displays error messages at startup, but no crash dialog. MATLAB continues to run normally.

    sys\java\jre\win64\jre\bin\WindowsAccessBridge-64.dll
