Registration
Registration for the conference will begin at 1:00 on Friday, March 18. Since the University of Wisconsin will be closed, it is important to go to the Linden Drive entrance (1221 Linden Dr) to the Medical Science Center. You can walk or take the free Metro bus line 80 or 85 (Recess Schedule) to the corner of Charter and Linden.
ABOUT THE COLLOQUIUM
Major statistics and biostatistics departments in the
Midwest are sponsoring the fourth Midwest Statistics
Research Colloquium. The first three colloquia were held in the spring of 2008, 2009 and 2010 at the
University of Chicago. As with these colloquia, the program for the fourth
colloquium will be inclusive, recognizing the importance of first-rate
theoretical work, computational work, and serious applied work.
We are holding this colloquium to give visibility to quality research by
students and faculty at all levels in some seventy
departments in the Midwest and also to give everyone a chance to form new
friendships, new collaborations, and obtain new ideas without having to
travel a significant distance. We also want participants to enjoy a day of
relaxation in a scholarly environment.
The third colloquium will be held at the campus of the University of Wisconsin-Madison
on March 18 and 19, 2011. Online registration is mandatory for all participants.
Registration will be capped at approximately 100 attendees.
