Somehow, the CVS archive for these got "disappeared" so there is no
history for them.

- Splines - is the chapter that was written for Pete Shirley's book
  (that started out as just notes). I believe this is the last
  version.

- Surfaces - is the beginings of a chapter on surfaces that never got
  written.
